SO WE MAY ORDER UNIFORMS AND PREPARE TEAMS FOR THE 2012 SEASON
By Signing Up Early the League Can:
· Budget Effectively · Organize the Managers and Coaching staffs
· Organize the Players · Organize the Team Schedules
· Organize Uniforms and Sponsors · Organize Concession Stand Duties
· Organize Field Cleanup Duties · Start Practices earlier
Volunteer Organization
New Windsor Little League is not run by the town but rather by a group of dedicated parents who comprise the board of directors. As parents and board members, our main goal is to give the youth of New Windsor the best baseball experience possible. As a volunteer organization, we need the assistance of other parents to help insure their children will have a fun-filled, memorable 2012 baseball season at New Windsor Little League. The NWLL board of directors is asking parents for help with the following:
- Help to get the fields and complex ready for opening day, which is scheduled for April 14, 2012. Depending on the weather, there will be scheduled fields and complex clean up dates on weekends starting in mid-to-late March up to the weekend before opening day. Pre-Season field clean up dates will be posted on this website.
- Fields and complex maintenance/upkeep during the season; specifically help with getting the fields ready for games.
- Help with cooking and serving in the concession stand.
- Team managers, assistant coaches, team moms.
Director Positions Available
We have filled the majority of the positions on the board of directors however there are still a few important positions we need to fill. Below is a list of open postitions. If you are interested, please come see us at the next registration or email us at NWNYLittleLeague@gmail.com.
- Concession Stand Director - Main person to run the concession stand. Inventory control, create menu and set prices, work with other NWLL directors on setting budgets, supervise concession managers, volunteer scheduling.
- Concession Stand GameDay Managers - We need mutiple responsible people for this position to be in charge of the concession stand when it is open on game days. This will include supervising the parent volunteers in the concession stand, running the cash register, etc..
- Juniors Division Director. (Ages 13 - 14)
- Tiny Tee Ball Division Director, (Ages 3 - 4)
Special Requests
For 2012, there will be absolutely NO special requests involving that a child has to be with a certain coach or another family. Everyone can not be on the same team. Players will be placed on teams and schedules will be final. Managers will be allowed to pick one asst. coach. No scorekeepers or 3rd assistant coach. Please do not ask us because we will not be able to accommodate your request.
Refunds
There will be no refunds after players have registered.
Each family will be required to purchase $50.00 in raffle tickets 10 - $5 tickets at the time of registration. Raffle tickets are available on opening day and the raffle is held the last week of the season.
2012 Raffle Prizes will be as follows:
1. 1st Prize 1 winner $1000.00 3rd Prize 1 winner $150.00
2. 2nd Prize 1 winner $500.00 4th Prize 1 winner @ $50.00
New Windsor Little League is a private volunteer organization that is not a Town Sponsored and its fields on 90 Cedar Ave is not a town park. The complex is private property and managed by the Board of Directors of New Windsor Little League Inc. No tax payer dollars are used for the league. All improvements, upkeep, equipment, uniforms, insurance, lights, lawn care etc. are paid for by Registration, fundraisers, sponsors, rentals and concession.
